Ready to ditch the Blue Monday blues? Fashion industry veteran Georg Lux is stepping into the spotlight with his eponymous luxury brand, promising a fresh take on sophisticated style. After nearly five years at Leonard Paris, this Paris-based German designer is embarking on a new adventure, and the fashion world is watching!
Lux's vision? To blend the elegance of high fashion with the ease of everyday wear. He's responding to a growing demand for elevated style without sacrificing comfort. He's aiming for what he calls 'couture utility' – beautifully crafted pieces that feel both cool and comfortable, perfect for any occasion.
But here's where it gets interesting... The brand will be based in a stunning 19th-century townhouse at 29 Rue d’Astorg in Paris's upscale 8th arrondissement. This location will house both the studio and a showroom, setting the stage for presentations and exclusive events.
The brand's offerings will include women's and men's collections, along with accessories, all firmly positioned in the luxury market. Lux is collaborating with co-founders Thomas Pennequin, serving as general manager and image director, and Théodore d’Alberti, the chief financial officer. Pennequin brings a legal background specializing in intellectual property, while d'Alberti's expertise lies in luxury and cosmetics.
The debut Georg Lux collection is scheduled to be unveiled off-schedule during the upcoming Paris Fashion Week in March. A website will also launch around the same time, serving as the brand's initial retail platform.
Lux has also revealed the Georg Lux Paris branding, including a unique monogram called “Le Talisman.” This design, featuring intertwined Gs and Ls, is intended to symbolize harmony. Lux believes luxury brands have the unique power to unite people.
Before launching his own brand, Lux honed his skills as head designer at Tara Jarmon, where he designed the eveningwear line Bal Edition. Prior to that, he gained experience at Requiem and the Modemuseum Schloss Meyenburg in Germany.
